The NSAA State Girls golf tournament got underway yesterday with several Northeast Nebraska athletes taking the course across the state.<\/p>\n
Over in Class A, Norfolk\u2019s Maddi Fineran is the highest ranked Panther after Day One, with the senior currently sitting in a tie for fourth with a score of 78. Norfolk is currently tied for sixth in team scoring at 363.<\/p>\n
Over in Class C, Scotus Central Catholic holds on to a very tight race for second with a score of 362. The Shamrocks are followed by West Holt (5th, 377), Battle Creek (7th, 388), Boone Central (9th, 406) and Wayne (11th, 412).<\/p>\n
As for an individual standpoint, five Northeast Nebraska golfers currently find themselves inside the Top 15 after Day One in Class C. West Holt’s Delani Knust sits 3rd (80); Pierce’s Rylee Altwine is tied for 8th (86); Molliel Miller of West Point-Beemer is tied for 10th (88) and Scotus teammates Brynn Homolka and Kiya Taylor are tied for 13th (89).<\/p>\n
