dead following an incident in Maple Ridge, B.C., overnight.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1753129028_943_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Independent Investigations Office of B.C., which investigates police-involved incidents, said officers have been called to a home on 239th Street and 118A Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The agency said the initial investigation found that the first person appears to have died from a self-inflicted wound around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived, two other people were also found dead, the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" told Global News that his girlfriend woke him up around 10:45 p.m., saying she had heard a gunshot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that, I woke up and I heard five more similar-sounding gunshots,\u201d he downstairs, he looked out the window and saw a car on fire.<\/p>\n<p>He is a mechanic, so he knew one of the cars was about to explode, Deacon-Carriere explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen the police came
