Chopper 24 is on the scene of a natural gas explosion at a North York construction site, which left several people injured. <\/p>\n
Seven people have been taken to hospital after a natural gas fire broke out at an under construction building in North York on Tuesday morning following a reported explosion.<\/p>\n
Crews were first dispatched to the building on Esther Shiner Boulevard at McMahon Drive, which is in the vicinity of Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue, at around 9:20 a.m.<\/p>\n
Toronto Fire Services told CTV News fire occurred in a that the mechanical room on the 22nd floor. Fire officials say that evidence of ignition was located at the scene, though the cause of the fire remains unclear.<\/p>\n
Seven people have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Toronto police confirm. <\/p>\n
