{"id":213534,"date":"2025-10-15T00:15:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T00:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/213534\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T00:15:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T00:15:15","slug":"para-cycling-track-worlds-preview-ara-australian-cycling-team-ready-to-race-for-rainbows-in-rio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/213534\/","title":{"rendered":"Para-cycling Track Worlds preview: ARA Australian Cycling Team ready to race for rainbows in Rio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ARA Australian Cycling Team are back in Brazil this week ready to race for rainbows for the second consecutive year at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Velodrome.<\/p>\n<p>Thirteen Australians will compete at the 2025 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships, hunting for medals and the rainbow jersey.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next four days, 29 world championship titles are on offer \u2013 17 for women, 10 for men, and two opportunities in the mixed team events.<\/p>\n<p>While the venue will be the same as the 2024 world championships, there are some major program changes.<\/p>\n<p>This year we will see the introduction of sprint and elimination races, while individual pursuit will be removed for C-\u00a0classified riders. It is going to be a really different championships this year with the complete change of events &#8211; no pursuits and the addition of more bunch racing and sprints as well as the introduction of the kilo. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is exciting to be this deep into my career but feel like I\u2019m having to start fresh and learn new things!
