Like all the best reality stars<\/a> before her, Kylie Jenner<\/a> has decided to record a pop song. Wisely, she is not actually testing the waters of a music career but just sing-rapping the bridge of a Terror Jr song as part of an ad for Kylie Cosmetics. Kim Kardashian\u2019s \u201cJam (Turn It Up)\u201d<\/a> this is not.<\/p>\n Over the weekend, Jenner shared the sequel to \u201cGlosses,\u201d<\/a> the 2016 video in which she announced that Kylie Cosmetics was getting into lip gloss. If that means nothing to you, then you are probably over the age of 30. (It was a big deal to people who use Snapchat as a texting app.) The original video, in which Jenner played a getaway driver for her shiny-lipped friends, was set to the Terror Jr song \u201cThree Strikes.\u201d Now, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics and her upcoming King Kylie Collection, Jenner got the gang back together for a sequel.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The cleverly titled \u201cFourth Strike\u201d is the soundtrack for \u201cGlosses Part 2: King Kylie Returns,\u201d and while you can\u2019t hear much of Jenner\u2019s vocal work in the ad, you can listen to the song on its own to get the full effect.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cOne strike, two strike, let me get the mood right,\u201d Jenner raps. \u201cI just wanna tell you I\u2019m sorry. Touch me, baby. Tell me I\u2019m your baby. Write your name all over my body.\u201d She doesn\u2019t have the sharpest pen or the best voice, but she does seem like she\u2019s having fun.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a little rumor 10 years ago that I was the one actually singing on 3 strikes,\u201d Jenner wrote in an Instagram post<\/a>. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t me (wish it was) so I had the idea to come together for fourth strike and it would actually be ME FEATURED! \u2026 I was soooooo nervous but so grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n If Jenner revisiting her \u201cKing Kylie\u201d era \u2014 her brash alter ego from the mid-2010s with brightly dyed hair \u2014 sounds kind of familiar, it\u2019s because this is not the first time she\u2019s done it. In January 2024<\/a>, she posted a photo of herself with pink hair (one of her famous looks from the time) and wrote, \u201cheard its 2014 vibes this year.\u201d This time around, her teal-dipped hair is back. By my estimate, she is allowed to bring up her 18-year-old self one more time before it becomes upsetting.
