PHILADELPHIA, Pa. \u2014 The Stony Brook tennis team competed at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships last week, showcasing several solid performances in singles and doubles play.<\/p>\n
As a team, the Seawolves recorded 10 match wins at the regional. In singles competition, Elena Lobo-Corral<\/a> picked up two big wins, advancing to the round of 16. Sanjana Devineni<\/a> and Paisha Douglas<\/a> also recorded two wins each in the qualifying draw to advance into the singles main draw, where Devineni picked up another win.<\/p>\n In doubles play, the pairing of Douglas and Lobo-Corral won two matches, opening things up with an impressive win over the number one-seeded pairing. They followed that up with another victory in the round of 32 before falling in the round of 16.
