Ruben Amorim could reportedly have to turn to one Manchester United summer signing for a potential short-term fix after the latest transfer dilemma for the club.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager<\/a> has been able to strengthen key parts of his first-team<\/a> Red Devils squad after the arrival of new players this summer.<\/p>\n

United snapped up Matheus Cunha from Wolves<\/a> in June after the 26-year-old Brazil international\u2019s \u00a362.5m release clause was triggered at the Premier League club.<\/p>\n

Following on from Matheus Cunha\u2019s<\/a> arrival at Old Trafford<\/a> last month, United announced the signing of Diego Leon<\/a> from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno in July.<\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo then became United\u2019s third summer signing<\/a> after the Red Devils\u2019 drawn-out transfer pursuit of the former Brentford ace finally came to an end.<\/p>\n

United landed Bryan Mbeumo for an initial transfer<\/a> fee of \u00a365m, with the Red Devils including a further \u00a36m in add-ons in the deal for the 25-year-old Brentford winger.<\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> have been tipped to sign a new striker and a new midfielder this summer alongside the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon<\/a> and Bryan Mbeumo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, ESPN<\/a> has now reported that Ruben Amorim<\/a> could be forced to wait for a new striker and United could finally land a target after the new season has started.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, it is believed that there are no assurances that the Red Devils have a new striking option in place before deadline day in September.<\/p>\n

United have been linked with several strikers this summer, including the likes of Viktor Gyokeres<\/a>, Victor Osimhen<\/a>, Liam Delap<\/a>, Dusan Vlahovic<\/a> and Ollie Watkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But ESPN added that United are still exploring \u2018potential targets\u2019 this summer and there have been \u2018ongoing\u2019 talks with both \u2018agents and intermediaries.\u2019<\/p>\n

United\u2019s pursuit of a striker would also mean that there is \u2018also an acceptance\u2019 that the Red Devils would need to offload players from the first team for a new signing.<\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo could now offer something else to Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim for the 2025-26 Premier League season<\/p>\n

Amorim was left frustrated at the Red Devils\u2019 toothless finishing in the final third last season and the struggles of Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> and Joshua Zirkzee<\/a> as the lone striker.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with Inter Milan and other Serie A clubs this summer after the Danish forward\u2019s disappointing second season at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Joshua Zirkzee, much like United teammate Hojlund, has attracted interest from clubs in Italy after the Dutch striker failed to impress in his debut season at the club.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN, a \u2018potential solution\u2019 for Amorim not having a new striker in place would be turning to summer signing Mbeumo for the role in the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n
