\n\tCurb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines<\/a> clashed on The View<\/a> with co-host Sunny Hostin<\/a> on Tuesday over the medical qualifications of her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to be the Department of Health and Human Services head.<\/p>\n

\n\tAppearing on the ABC talk show to promote her memoir, Unscripted, Hines was taken to task for RFK Jr. choosing to suspend his 2024 U.S. presidential campaign and back Donald Trump on the election trail. Trump won the election and, in return for Kennedy\u2019s support, chose him to become the HHS head.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWith Bobby, that was a very difficult decision to make with President Trump. It was a crazy year and a half with Bobby running. And at the end of the day, President Trump and Bobby sat down and talked and, yes, they did have a lot of common goals,\u201d Hines told a questioning Hostin, while adding she did not personally endorse any presidential candidate ahead of voting day.<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked if she supported her husband\u2019s decision to support Trump\u2019s candidacy, Hines answered, \u201cIt was complicated, right?\u201d as her husband had moved over two years from being a Democrat to working for President Trump. Hines and Kennedy have been married since 2014.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-host Joy Behar, while recognizing Kennedy as her husband and insisting she was being put on the spot to defend him, still pressed her on RFK Jr., questioning the \u201cefficacy\u201d of vaccines. Hines responded that all vaccines were \u201can important part of our health care,\u201d but insisted they could be made safer and parents claiming their children had health impacts after taking a vaccine shot needed to be heard from.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut Hostin then went back on the offensive and sparred with Hines over the qualifications of RFK Jr. to be the HHS head, with The View co-host claiming he has \u201cspread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion, and it\u2019s just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHines, at that point, attempted to respond to allegations of misinformation by circling back to the COVID era, but was quickly interrupted by Hostin. Hines then interjected: \u201cMay I? May I finish?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe then told a silenced Hostin: \u201cWhen people, Fauci, were saying when you get the vaccine, you cannot transmit COVID, it will stop COVID, that was disinformation.\u201d Hines was referring to Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.<\/p>\n
