{"id":215265,"date":"2025-10-15T17:10:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T17:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/215265\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T17:10:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T17:10:09","slug":"nearly-208000-raised-for-local-nonprofits-during-new-englands-only-nascar-playoffs-weekend-news-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/215265\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly $208,000 Raised for Local Nonprofits During New England\u2019s Only NASCAR Playoffs Weekend | News | Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New England\u2019s only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NASCAR<\/a> Playoffs weekend at \u201cThe Magic Mile\u201d proved to be successful for local nonprofits with the dedication of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedwaycharities.org\/newhampshire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children\u2019s Charities<\/a> (SCCNH), the official charity of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhms.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Hampshire Motor Speedway<\/a> (NHMS), and the many volunteer groups who helped fundraise $207,507 during the Sept. 19-21 NASCAR Playoffs weekend event.<\/p>\n<p>Speedway Children\u2019s Charities<\/p>\n<p>SCCNH hosted eight events over the course of race week, including an online auction, Laps for Charity, Sign the Track Wall Banner, Track Treasures Shop, 50\/50 Raffle, Cornhole Tournament presented by Texas Roadhouse, Track Walk presented by LeMay Family Goodworks and Wicked Good Live Auction, plus presented a new opportunity: custom brick sales to create a walkway on NHMS property. These events helped SCCNH raise more than $150,000 for local children\u2019s charities and groups, with more than $50,000 of that going to the winner of the 50\/50 Raffle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe support from race fans was absolutely incredible this year,\u201d said Speedway Children\u2019s Charities New Hampshire Chapter Director and New Hampshire Motor Speedway Director of Marketing Danielle Cyr. \u201cIt\u2019s been a goal since we started the 50\/50 Raffle in 2021 to get the pot up to $100,000, and the fans come through in full force this year to make that happen. We can\u2019t wait to distribute this money in December to nonprofits throughout the region to help further the work they do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each December, SCCNH distributes grants to local nonprofit organizations in the region. In 2024, 36 grants were distributed totaling $120,000. Since its inception in 2009, SCCNH has distributed more than $2.1 million supporting nearly 1.5 million children across New England.<\/p>\n<p>Race fans can continue to cement their legacy as a NHMS fan for years to come by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundraisingbrick.com\/online-orders\/speedwaycc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">purchasing an engraved brick<\/a> that can be customized with names, family names or even a special message. A 4\u201d x 8\u201d brick is $200, and an 8\u201d x 8\u201d brick is $350 with proceeds directly benefitting children in need throughout New England. Once a collection of bricks has been sold, they\u2019ll be used to build a beautiful walkway on NHMS property, which will be unveiled during NHMS\u2019s 2026 NASCAR weekend.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Speedway Children\u2019s Charities, including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, please contact New Hampshire Chapter Director Danielle Cyr at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhms.com\/cdn-cgi\/l\/email-protection#4501063c37050b0d08166b262a28\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[email\u00a0protected]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Various Fundraising Groups<\/p>\n<p>In addition to funds being raised for SCCNH, teams of motivated fundraising groups from New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts helped NHMS during NASCAR weekend to benefit various New England nonprofits, which included schools, civil and church groups as well as the New Hampshire Food Bank. From grandstand cleaning to landscaping, parking and concession stands, these volunteers help make the speedway look its best from the first green flag to the final checkered flag. In return for their volunteerism, NHMS donates to the nonprofit organization they represent.
