The Gannon men’s soccer team closed its non-conference slate on a high note Wednesday afternoon, outlasting D’Youville 3\u20132 behind a two-goal performance from Rafa Hyde<\/a> (S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos, Brazil\/).<\/p>\n The Golden Knights took control early and withstood a late push from the Saints to stay unbeaten in October. Gannon improved to 5-2-4 overall, while D’Youville dropped to 3-6-2 on the season.<\/p>\n It was a productive afternoon for the Knights’ attack, led by Sverre Orten<\/a> (Orsta, Norway\/Aalesund vgs), who recorded his first two-assist match of the season. Orten now leads the team with 20 points, pacing Gannon in assists (6) and goals (7).<\/p>\n Hyde netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season and added an assist, while Enzo Rekka<\/a> (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina\/Gymnasium of the Catholic School Centre “Sveti Franjo”) tallied his fourth goal of the year. Shota Toyama<\/a> (Kanagawa, Japan\/Tama) chipped in with an assist on Hyde’s game-winner to round out Gannon’s balanced offensive showing.
