Nicki Minaj <\/a>is threatening to cancel her plans for her sixth album<\/a> \u2014 which she had set for next March \u2014 altogether. She claimed on X early Wednesday (Oct. 15) she wouldn\u2019t be releasing any music and placing some blame upon Jay-Z\u2019s<\/a> shoulders, continuing her feud with Roc Nation. <\/a><\/p>\n

Nicki claimed that Roc Nation was begging her to do an album and another tour, which she said she turned down. \u201cThey came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!! LMFAO. Wanted to patch it up. They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ,\u201d she posted<\/a>, tagging Jay-Z. \u201cI called the Barbz on the secret BARB phone & it was a resounding NOOOOOOOO. just like the casinooooooooooooooooooo. @sc.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then she said she was nixing her plans for the upcoming album. \u201cOk I\u2019m not going to put out the album anymore,\u201d Minaj wrote<\/a>, tagging Jay-Z again. \u201cNo more music. Hope you\u2019re happy now @sc Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Barbz were upset with Nicki\u2019s cancellation, and some pleaded with her to take a break from social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnika please\u2026 listen to us, the Barbz. listen to us pleaseee. we need you mother, now than ever,\u201d one fan wrote.<\/a> \u201cwe need you to take our hands and guide us to the end of the trajectory of the Pink Sun, the edge of Gag City, where we take hold of the goblet of Victory and drink from it. the Barbz will prevail. Onika will prevail. she will take us there. God will help us on the way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another perso<\/a>n added: <\/a>\u201cNicki, take a break from social media and heal, you\u2019ve got a lot going on. You went from being the bully to playing the victim. Sometimes silence says more than tweets ever will.\u201d<\/p>\n

The connection between Roc Nation and Minaj\u2019s album is unclear, as Nicki is signed to Republic Records\/Universal Music Group and has no management with Roc Nation.<\/p>\n

However, she\u2019s been feuding with Jay and CEO Desiree Perez in recent months, with claims that Roc has attempted to suppress her views on social media. Tensions seemed to be raised last year when Lil Wayne was passed over for Kendrick Lamar by the NFL for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.<\/p>\n

Billboard has reached out to Minaj, Jay-Z and Roc Nation for comment.<\/p>\n

In September, Nicki announced plans<\/a> to set March 27 in stone as a possible release date for her sixth studio album. Her post on X with the release date is still pinned to the top of her account.<\/p>\n

Minaj\u2019s most recent album, Pink Friday 2,\u00a0arrived in December 2023, and the LP debuted\u00a0atop the Billboard 200\u00a0<\/a>with 228,000 total album-equivalent units earned. With the release, she became the first female rapper to notch three No. 1 albums.<\/p>\n
