NORMAN \u2013 The Oklahoma women’s tennis team is set to host the 2025 ITA Central Regional Championship at the Headington Family Tennis Center, Oct. 16-20.<\/p>\n
OU will compete for berths in both singles and doubles at the 2025 NCAA Division I Individual Championships, which are automatically awarded to singles finalists and doubles champions at each of the 13 regional sites. The main draws feature 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams.<\/p>\n
Nine Sooners are slated to compete in main draw singles and doubles play: seniors Julia Garcia Ruiz<\/a> and Oyinlomo Quadre<\/a>, redshirt junior Roisin Gilheany<\/a>, junior Chlo\u00e9 No\u00ebl, sophomores Gloriana Nahum<\/a> and Salakthip Ounmuang<\/a>, and freshmen Laura Brunkel<\/a>, Mika Buchnik<\/a> and Edda Mamedova<\/a>.<\/p>\n Admission to the tournament is free. A tentative day-by-day schedule, as well as draws, can be found here<\/a>. Live streams of matches on outdoor courts 1-6 and indoor courts 1-6 will be available via PlaySight<\/a>.<\/p>\n At the 2023 ITA Central Regional, Dana Guzman and Alina Shcherbinina<\/a> captured the doubles title to become\u00a0the first Sooner pairing to do so since Carmen and Ivana Corley in 2020.
