During a conversation on the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce playfully asked about his brother Travis\u2019 NFL performance since Swift\u2019s Wood song was released. He questioned whether Travis\u2019 on-field performance had improved since Swift paid tribute to his manhood.<\/p>\n
Presenting the statistical proof, Jason shared a fan post: \u201cTravis Kelce before the release of \u2018Wood\u2019: four games, 15 catches, 188 yards and a touchdown.\u201d Comparing to his stats after its release, the post added, \u201ctwo games, 139 yards and one touchdown.\u201d Travis Kelce found his brother reading the fan post on their podcast \u201chilarious.\u201d Jason\u2019s wife, Kylie, whose favorite song is \u201cWood,\u201d added,\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t know if that\u2019s significant, but it is funny.\u201d<\/p>\n
During a conversation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>,\u00a0 the \u2018Reputation\u2019 singer revealed where the idea of the Wood song stemmed from. She said, \u201cI brought this into the studio, and I was like, \u2018I want to do a throwback, kind of timeless-sounding song,\u2019 and I have this idea about, like, \u2018I ain\u2019t gotta knock on wood,\u2019 and we would knock on wood, and it would be all these superstitions.\u201d<\/p>\n She revealed that the song started from an \u201cinnocent\u201d place, but she had no idea when it turned raunchy. \u201cAnd it really started out in a very innocent place.
