SPRINGFIELD, Mo. \u2013 Missouri State women’s soccer fell 1-0 to Louisiana Tech on Thursday night at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium. The loss moved the Bears to 5-7-3 (2-2-2 CUSA) on the season, while Louisiana Tech improved to 4-11-1 (3-3-0 CUSA).<\/p>\n
The decisive moment came in the 69th minute when Louisiana Tech’s Peyton Wiseman scored her second goal of the season, finishing off a setup from Ashley Leonhart to give the visitors the lead. Despite late pressure and multiple looks at goal, the Bears couldn’t find an equalizer as Bulldogs goalkeeper Ansley Ittel finished with five saves to secure the shutout.<\/p>\n
Missouri State came out aggressive, outshooting Louisiana Tech 6-5 in the first half and controlling the early tempo. The Bears continued to push forward in the second half, earning several late chances including a free kick from Maddie Schneiderhahn<\/a> and an attempt from Lillie Rasmussen<\/a> in the final minute, but were unable to convert.<\/p>\n Both teams finished with nine total shots, while Louisiana Tech held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Ella Becker<\/a> and Victoria Spahn<\/a> combined for two saves in the effort for Missouri State.<\/p>\n
