SAN DIEGO\u00a0\u2013 The San Diego State women\u2019s soccer team returned home on Thursday to play first-place Boise State and led 1-0 before the Broncos scored twice in the final nine minutes to come back.<\/p>\n

San Diego State\u2019s (6-3-5, 2-1-3 MW) Alexyz Nakamoto<\/a> put a shot on target at the 20-minute mark, but it was saved by Boise State (7-3-6, 5-0-2 MW) keeper Ava de Leest.<\/p>\n

SDSU goalkeeper Kailey Carlen<\/a> saved shots by Sophie Schmautz in the 22nd and 28th minutes to keep the Broncos off the board.<\/p>\n

The Aztecs jumped ahead at 30:20 when Emma Fuller<\/a>, who scored the game-winner against San Jose State on Sunday, took a pass from Katie Senn<\/a>, who was passed the ball by Victoria Miller<\/a>, and booted it into the back of the net.<\/p>\n

Carlen saved a shot by Kenzie MacMillian in the 36th minute.<\/p>\n

Fuller put another shot on frame in the 41st minute but it was saved as was Ciara Jade Mitchell<\/a>\u2019s shot on target just as the final countdown of the first half started.<\/p>\n

SDSU kept on the attack early in the second half with Alexys Ocampo<\/a> forcing a save in the 53rd minute.<\/p>\n

The officials gave Mia Hambro Svendsen<\/a> a yellow card for time wasting in the 56th minute.<\/p>\n

Carlen stopped another shot by MacMillian just past the 60-minute mark.<\/p>\n

Boise State\u2019s Jillian Anderson scored at 81:20 to tie the score and at 88:58 to pull ahead.<\/p>\n

Mitchell took a nice shot in the 88th minute to try and put the Aztecs back on top but it was saved.<\/p>\n

San Diego State led in corner kicks (4-3) and fouls (6-3) while Boise State had more shots (14-13) and saves (5-4) and each team had six shots on goal.<\/p>\n

THE NOTE I
Katie Senn<\/a> picked up her seventh assist of the season, moving her into a tie for first in the Mountain West with Kenzie MacMillian of Boise State, while Senn\u2019s 0.50 assists per game are the most in the conference, ahead of MacMillian\u2019s 0.44.<\/p>\n

THE NOTE II
The defeat ended a number of streaks for the Aztecs. SDSU suffered its first unranked defeat of the season, snapping a ten-match unbeaten streak, and fell in a home conference match for the first time since 2022.<\/p>\n

The Aztecs will look to get back on track on Sunday on the SDSU Sports Deck against Utah State.
