The NASCAR Cup Series<\/a> comes to Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama, this weekend for the YellaWood 500.<\/p>\n

Talladega is the middle race for the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series, and any playoff-eligible driver who takes the checkered flag this weekend will automatically qualify for the Championship 4<\/a> in Phoenix, Arizona next month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There have been 10 different winners in the last 10 races to take place at Talladega.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the green flag dropping at 2 PM ET this Sunday, let\u2019s break down the betting favorites to take the checkered flag. (All odds via DraftKings and subject to change.)<\/p>\n

Ryan Blaney<\/a> enters the weekend as the +900 favorite to win the race, with the No. 12 Ford Driver needing a strong performance as he enters the weekend eighth in the playoff standings<\/a>, seven points behind teammate Joey Logano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blaney has three career wins at Talladega, joint-most among active drivers along with Logano, most recently triumphing in 2023. In 22 career starts at Talladega, Blaney has six top-five finishes, eight top-10s, and an average finishing position of 16.9.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Nascar.com<\/a>, Blaney said he isn\u2019t in \u201cmust-win\u201d mode yet despite being on the outside looking in with two races to go until the championship round.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalladega, you never know what can happen,\u201d Blaney said. \u201cYou could go have a massive points day, be short of the win, but maybe a couple other guys don\u2019t have as good a points day, and you go into Martinsville, maybe in a spot where you could maybe point your way in if you go have another good day short of winning.\u201d<\/p>\n

William Byron<\/a>, Joey Logano, and Austin Cindric trail Blaney in the outright market, with the trio each priced at +1000 to take the checkered flag on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Byron, a two-time winner this season, leads active Cup Series drivers in average finishing position at Talladega<\/a> (13.7), according to Hendrick Motorsports.<\/p>\n

Logano only has one top-10 finish in his last 12 outings at Talladega, although the Ford No. 22 boasts three career wins and nine career top-five finishes at the track.<\/p>\n

Cindric is the driver with the most recent success at Talladega, having won the Jack Link\u2019s 500 earlier this year on April 27, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next up in the market are Chase Elliott<\/a> (+1100), Kyle Larson<\/a> (+1200) and Denny Hamlin<\/a> (+1800).<\/p>\n

Hamlin already clinched his spot in the Championship 4<\/a> with his 60th career victory in Las Vegas last weekend, equalling Kevin Harvick for the 10th-most wins in NASCAR history.\u00a0<\/p>\n
