The Nifty index, after starting in red, recovered to rise by over 124.55 points, to push past 25,700 mark, a 1-year high. The Sensex index is up close to 500 points, falling just shy of 84,000 mark for the first time 4 months. Asian Paints M&M, Nestle, Axis Bank, Max Health are among the major gainers of the day.<\/p>\n
Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Indian markets have ended yet another week on a triumphant note. The Nifty, after a euphoric week, is now above the 25,700 mark. This is the highest the index has been in 52 weeks.<\/p>\n
The Nifty Bank crossed its all-time high to set a new record, maintaining the impressive run.<\/p>\n
When it comes to Sensex, the index surged by over 450 points, with the 30-stock index rising over the 84,000 mark for the first time in 4 months, before eventually closing just below the said mark.<\/p>\n
A flurry of companies reported their results for the second quarter of the year; however, some big names, including the largest conglomerate in the country, Reliance Industries, will be reporting their results later in the day today.<\/p>\n
