Alphonso Davies could be back on the pitch as soon as December, Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany suggested Friday.<\/p>\n
Davies has been sidelined since tearing his ACL while playing with Canada in March and his status is a key storyline for the co-hosts ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s definitely looking good,\u201d Kompany told reporters Friday. \u201cI hoped he\u2019d be back at the beginning of January, but as things stand now, it might be a bit sooner.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he can play a few games in December, then everyone will have done a wonderful job. If things continue to go well, then we might have a very, very fit Alphonso Davies back (by then).\u201d<\/p>\n
Davies also sounded positive as he reflected on his journey back to the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m running and training well,\u201d Davies told the team\u2019s website. \u201cI just need to get a bit more muscle mass on my right leg.<\/p>\n
