{"id":220081,"date":"2025-10-17T15:34:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T15:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/220081\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T15:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T15:34:07","slug":"nba-adds-tap-to-watch-feature-for-league-team-partner-sites-to-aid-game-discoverability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/220081\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA adds \u2018Tap to Watch\u2019 feature for league\/team\/partner sites to aid game discoverability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">The NBA is taking its biggest step so far in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/08\/14\/discoverability-key-focus-for-nba-with-new-rights-deals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/08\/14\/discoverability-key-focus-for-nba-with-new-rights-deals\/\">making discoverability of games easier<\/a> for fans this season, implementing a new \u201cTap to Watch\u201d call-to-action digital initiative to get fans to live telecasts. \u201cTap to Watch,\u201d developed by the league alongside its partners, will be a button directing fans to live games during the first season of a new media deal, which begins Tuesday night. Whether on the league site or a team page or a schedule page, fans will be directed to where live games are being shown this season, whether it be national games across NBC\/Peacock, ABC\/ESPN, Prime Video or NBA TV, or on the myriad local options teams have. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">\u201cWe recognized this season that with two new media partners coming aboard we needed to help fans find the games,\u201d Sara Zuckert, Head of NBA App, told SBJ. \u201cThere has been a lot of collaboration to bring this to life.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">The \u201cTap to Watch\u201d effort will also be on the NBA app, as well as embedded with media partners and others, like Google, Meta, X, Snap, Reddit, Roku and Dapper Labs (in NFTs). FanDuel, a sports betting partner of the league, will also get the feature later this season, as will retail points of sale on the Fanatics network of sites.
