\nPROVIDENCE, R.I. \u2013\u00a0The Providence College men’s soccer team beat the Marquette University Golden Eagles,\u00a01-0, on Friday, Oct. 17\u00a0on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. With the win, the Friars improve to 5-6-1 (3-2-0 BIG EAST), while the Golden Eagles fall to 5-5-2 (0-5-0 BIG EAST).\u00a0Senior Sam Montalto<\/a> (Stonington, Conn.) scored the lone goal of the game when he connected on a header off a corner sent in by Pearse O’Brien<\/a> (West Hartford, Conn.). Ryan Carney<\/a> (Dunstable, Mass.) earned his third clean sheet of the season in net.<\/p>\n
