CAMBRIDGE, Mass. \u2013 Harvard women’s soccer battled to a 2\u20132 draw against Brown University on Saturday night at Jordan Field. The Crimson (5\u20134\u20133, 3\u20131\u20131 Ivy) continued their strong Ivy League form, earning a result in their fourth straight conference match, while the Bears (8\u20132\u20134, 2\u20131\u20132 Ivy) held on after an intense back-and-forth contest. Harvard’s goals came courtesy of Anna Rayhill<\/a> and Jasmine Leshnick<\/a>, while goalkeeper Rhiannon Stewart<\/a> matched her season high with seven saves to keep the Crimson in contention until the final whistle.<\/p>\n How It Happened<\/p>\n Coming off a dominant 3\u20130 victory over Yale on October 12, the Crimson entered Saturday’s match riding a three-game win streak and plenty of momentum in conference play. From the opening minutes, Harvard displayed energy and precision, with Stewart setting the tone by making a crucial save just three minutes into the match. She went on to record four more saves before halftime, repeatedly frustrating Brown’s attempts to capitalize on early offensive pressure.

Midfielders Susie Long<\/a> and Anya Van Den Einde<\/a> each tallied two shots on goal, helping Harvard maintain an attacking presence throughout the first half. Despite several close chances, Brown broke through late in the half to take a 1\u20130 lead heading into the break.<\/p>\n The Crimson wasted no time responding after halftime. Just minutes into the second, Anna Rayhill<\/a> netted an equalizer off a smooth sequence from Susie Long<\/a> and Olof Kristinsd\u00f3ttir. Long carried the ball up from midfield before finding Kristinsd\u00f3ttir, who delivered a perfectly timed pass to Rayhill for a low strike into the bottom left corner of the net\u2014Rayhill’s third goal of the season and sixth of her career.

Brown reclaimed the lead midway through the half on a long-range strike, but the Crimson refused to back down. Harvard continued pressing forward, and with under 10 minutes remaining, Jasmine Leshnick<\/a> converted a late opportunity to level the match once more. The sophomore forward’s goal capped off a strong second-half push that showcased the Crimson’s resilience and composure under pressure.
