Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> goaltender Anthony Stolarz<\/a> aired out some frustration with the team\u2019s slow start to the season following a 4-3 overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken<\/a> on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Stolarz, now beginning his second year in Toronto, saved 24-of-28 shot attempts he faced against Seattle, allowing the eventual overtime winner to Josh Mahura<\/a> at the 3:06 mark father extra frame.<\/p>\n

Mahura skated into the offensive zone and beat Leafs winger William Nylander<\/a> to the front of net before scoring on Stolarz blocker side with the game on his stick.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, how many points are we going to leave out there?\u201d the 31-year-old netminder said after the loss. \u201cThe potential\u2019s there. Like, we have the skill. We have the grit. We have the grind. It\u2019s just frustrating that we just can\u2019t put it together right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, a lot of guys have been here for a while. Overtime, you can\u2019t let someone beat you up the ice there and gets a clear-cut breakaway,\u201d he added. \u201cA minute left, you want to be on the ice in that situation, you gotta work hard\u2026it cost us a point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just early-season issues?<\/p>\n

Stolarz was also involved in an incident towards the end of the second period on Saturday in which Kraken forward Mason Marchment<\/a> drove hard into the crease and knocked Stolarz down to the ice.<\/p>\n

The Edison, N.J., native got up and flipped the net over before going after Marchment, igniting a scrum in his crease.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I\u2019m not happy,\u201d said the 10-year veteran. \u201cI\u2019m going to try and stand up for myself. I heard the ref say we got a power play\u2026kudos to the guys who were there and got down with him\u2026it\u2019s not fun. I don\u2019t like having 225-pound guys laying on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe we can take a page out of their book and go to the net,\u201d he added. \u201cWe like to go low to high and shoot but for their goalie it\u2019s like playing catch\u2026we\u2019re not making it difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toronto fell to 3-2-1 on the season following the loss to Seattle, taking seven points from their first six games played. They currently occupy third place in the Atlantic Division.<\/p>\n

Stolarz has started in all but one of the team\u2019s games this year with Joseph Woll<\/a> still on personal leave, posting a 2.79 goals-against average and an .897 save percentage. <\/p>\n

The Leafs are back in action on Tuesday night as they play host to their former head coach Sheldon Keefe<\/a> and the New Jersey Devils<\/a>.<\/p>\n
