Once again, referee Dan Miragliotta found himself at the center of a controversy.<\/p>\n
During Saturday\u2019s UFC Vancouver co-main event, Mike Malott landed not one, but two low blows in just over a minute span \u2014 with the second leaving Holland in severe pain and taking the full five minutes before electing to continue. Instead of taking a point, Miragliotta gave Holland a stern warning, adding to an already tough night at the office for the veteran official<\/a>.<\/p>\n Before the second round began, Holland was visibly still in immense pain. Miragliotta asked Holland if he wanted to continue, but Holland didn\u2019t respond. After consulting with a doctor and another official, Holland made it out for Round 2, despite clearly being less than 100 percent, and probably not in condition to compete.<\/p>\n As expected, Malott took over the fight, and won the last two rounds to pick up the unanimous decision.<\/p>\n Once again, UFC fighters were frustrated by the officiating, and let it be known on Twitter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Once again, referee Dan Miragliotta found himself at the center of a controversy.
