Hunter sprinted past the Rams\u2019 coverage, hauled it in, and crossed the goal line for a 34-yard touchdown, the first of his NFL career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just told coach to give me the ball,\u201d Hunter said. \u201cI\u2019ll go out there, make a play, and he got me the ball and I just did what I had to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Jaguars fell 35-7 to Los Angeles, but Hunter turned in his best professional performance yet \u2014 eight catches for 101 yards and that one shining score.<\/p>\n<p>More: <a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/ncaa-football\/florida\/news\/top-25-college-football-coaches-hot-seat-rankings-heading-week-9\/b09fa664ffff49f45d07ce83\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Top 25 college football hot seat ranking<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Afterward, he made it clear where that ball is headed. \u201cI\u2019m giving it to my son,\u201d Hunter said with a grin.<\/p>\n<p>Even in defeat, his words carried perspective. \u201cI ain\u2019t worried about the stats,\u201d he said. \u201cWe just got to do better, come out and win. That\u2019s what I\u2019m focused on [just] doing my job and helping the other guys do theirs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter admitted the offense struggled with focus and execution. \u201cA lot of self-inflicted wounds,\u201d he said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t do how coach taught it, and it came back to bite us. We just got to be better. We all know that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His first trip overseas didn\u2019t involve sightseeing, \u00a0just football and family on his mind. \u201cI didn\u2019t go nowhere,\u201d he said. \u201cI stayed in the hotel every day.
