{"id":225267,"date":"2025-10-19T19:52:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-19T19:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/225267\/"},"modified":"2025-10-19T19:52:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T19:52:12","slug":"over-300k-raised-for-midwestern-ontario-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/225267\/","title":{"rendered":"Over $300K raised for Midwestern Ontario hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 24th Annual CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon raised $378,300 for local hospitals in Midwestern Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The radiothon, which helps local hospitals share their message on-air, showcased heartwarming patient stories, interviews with healthcare professionals about the projects and equipment for which each hospital Foundation is raising funds, and motivation for listeners to become a \u201cHealth Care Hero\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The hospitals chose important fundraising goals, which include raising funds for essential hospital equipment and upgrades.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcast took place Saturday on AM920 in support of this year\u2019s nine participating hospitals, which include, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, Durham Hospital Foundation, Hanover &amp; District Hospital Foundation, Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation, Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation, Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation, Walkerton &amp; District Hospital Foundation, and Wingham &amp; District Hospital Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the hospitals also held in-person events like community breakfasts, BBQs, and bake sales to support the broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the radiothon has raised $15,489,989 for local hospitals and is a major fundraising event for the hospitals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The 24th Annual CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon raised $378,300 for local hospitals in Midwestern Ontario.
