The race was mostly a procession as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/news\/max-verstappen-wins-the-united-states-grand-prix-as-carlos-sainz-and-kimi-antonelli-collide\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Max Verstappen dominated for victory<\/a> from pole position.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutchman claimed the win in the Sprint on Saturday, while Sainz finished a stunning P3. He managed to navigate the first-lap chaos after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/news\/the-stark-difference-between-oscar-piastri-and-lando-norris-moods-after-crash-at-united-states-gp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri crashed out<\/a> at the first corner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/carlos-sainz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sainz<\/a> looked to continue the momentum into Sunday\u2019s race by qualifying P9. He found his way past Oliver Bearman at turn 16, but he could not replicate the move against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/andrea-kimi-antonelli\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Antonelli<\/a> on lap six.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-2242062778-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Kimi Antonelli in the gravel after colliding with Carlos Sainz at the 2025 United States Grand Prix\" \/>Photo by Clive Mason\/Getty ImagesF1 fans blame Carlos Sainz for \u2018stupid\u2019 crash with Kimi Antonelli at the United States Grand Prix<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard tried to dive down the inside of the Italian, but hit the back of Antonelli and sent him into a spin. Sainz was left with a puncture and front wing damage, which ultimately forced him to retire.<\/p>\n<p>Antonelli continued and went on to finish an unlucky 13th. A points finish was definitely on the cards for the 19-year-old, had it not been for his incident with Sainz, with many fans pinning the blame on the Williams driver on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSainz 100% at fault,\u201d said one fan. Another echoed: \u201cALL of Sainz\u2019s fault. Second Dive Bomb that he throws himself into, without reason.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarlos did not live up to what he did yesterday,\u201d wrote one user. Another said: \u201cDamn sucks for Carlos but I feel like that was his fault.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is Sainz doing man? Antonelli must be fuming,\u201d wrote another disgruntled fan. Finally, one added: \u201cSainz didn\u2019t understand that the front car was turning on a corner that requires the front car to turn. From the inside, having done that move the previous lap, or two laps before.
