Golf fans have been left scratching the surface after Brian Harman was seen hurling his club into the ground in frustration when hitting a great tee shot during the final round of the DP World India Championship.<\/p>\n

We all know the world’s best players have high standards, but come on, was there any need to launch your golf club into the turf when sending a shot in to 10 feet?\u00a0<\/p>\n

That’s what unfolded on the 161-yard par-3 5th at Delhi GC on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Within seconds of Harman’s tee shot being sent airborne, the ratty American flung his club to the deck.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the camera then panned to the green, Harman<\/a>‘s ball ended up around 10 feet away.<\/p>\n

It was six feet 11 inches according to DP World Tour’s shot data, but we would question that…<\/p>\n

“Anger management is a suggestion,” wrote one fan on X \/ Twitter.<\/p>\n

One fan joked: “If I had a shot even half that good I’d be jumping for joy.”<\/p>\n

Another commented: “That\u2019s crazy. I would be very happy with that shot.”<\/p>\n

“That should be a club twirl not a club smash,” wrote one fan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harman went on to two-putt for par but it was a lacklustre Sunday performance from the 2023 Open champion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On what proved to be a low-scoring final round for many of the leading groups, Harman unfortunately slid down the board.<\/p>\n

Harman opened the round with a disastrous double-bogey seven, which likely explains his irritation by the time he boarded the 5th tee.<\/p>\n

He did birdie the par-4 2nd though.<\/p>\n

Harman bogeyed the par-3 7th before adding consecutive birdies on 8 and 9 to go out in a level-par 36.<\/p>\n

But he would make three bogeys on the back nine with just one birdie and it all added up to a dismal 2-over 74.<\/p>\n

That was the worst score of anyone in the top 55 on the leaderboard at the DP World India Championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He finished the week on 11-under par in T26.<\/p>\n

Harman was making a rare appearance on the DP World Tour and his first ever on Indian soil.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fleetwood won the DP World India Championship<\/p>\n

Tommy Fleetwood<\/a> went on to win the tournament for his second victory of the season and first on the DP World Tour.<\/p>\n

It marked his eighth career win on the DP World Tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fleetwood revealed after the tournament that it was the first time<\/a> he had won in front of his young son, Frankie.<\/p>\n

The Englishman explained how during a home game between father and son last week that Frankie reminded him that he had not yet been able to run on the green to celebrate a win with him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fleetwood set the record straight on Sunday as he closed things out with a brilliant 65 to win by two shots over Keita Nakajima.<\/p>\n

He was then immediately congratulated with a warm hug from Frankie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
