On today\u2019s Young and the Restless (Tuesday, October 21, 2025), Tessa and Daniel share a passionate moment, Mariah reaches a breaking point far from home, and Phyllis prepares to seize control of Genoa City\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Last Episode<\/p>\n

\"Y&R<\/a><\/p>\n

The Genoa City Athletic Club (GCAC)<\/p>\n

Daniel and Tessa enter the club. Daniel is disappointed they missed his dad\u2019s bachelor party.<\/p>\n

Tessa thanks him for coming with her to see Mariah. She wishes it wasn\u2019t for nothing.<\/p>\n

\"TessaCBS<\/p>\n

They walk downstairs into the jazz lounge, and Daniel sees there\u2019s nobody there either. He says he\u2019ll talk to his dad in the morning. He\u2019s sure that Tessa wants to head home, so he\u2019ll drop her off there.<\/p>\n

Tessa says she wants to relax a bit before she goes home\u2026 Would he buy her a drink?<\/p>\n

Daniel agrees. They sit at the bar, order a drink, and toast to Danny and Christine. He asks if she\u2019d like to talk about what happened with Mariah.<\/p>\n

\"DanielCBS<\/p>\n

Tessa doesn\u2019t know what to say; it was surreal sitting across from Mariah, because she felt like she didn\u2019t know her at all. She thought it would make everything better to see her, but it was like they were a million miles apart.<\/p>\n

Daniel asks if Mariah told her anything about what happened between her and the man in the hotel.<\/p>\n

Tessa says they didn\u2019t talk about it. They played Old Maid with a deck of cards, but it didn\u2019t help\u2026 Mariah was hopeless and despondent; she was a shell of herself! Tessa thinks that the clinic isn\u2019t helping Mariah and wanted to take her out, but Mariah said she needed to \u201cdive deep\u201d into her feelings to get to the other side. She isn\u2019t sure that Mariah will actually get past this.<\/p>\n

\"TessaCBS<\/p>\n

Daniel asks what he can do to help.<\/p>\n

Tessa doesn\u2019t want to talk about this anymore. She says she texted the nanny and asked her to stay another night\u2026 She\u2019ll deal with this tomorrow!<\/p>\n

Daniel thinks Tessa just wants to get drunk and forget about things. He remembers doing the same thing when Heather died.<\/p>\n

\"DanielCBS<\/p>\n

Tessa realizes it\u2019s been over a year now since Heather died. She apologizes for forgetting and asks if he\u2019s going to make her drink alone.<\/p>\n

Daniel says she doesn\u2019t need to apologize. He suggests that they head upstairs and get some food; they haven\u2019t eaten since breakfast!<\/p>\n

Tessa agrees, and they head upstairs.<\/p>\n

\"DanielCBS<\/p>\n

Upstairs, they take a seat in the dining room and order some drinks and food.<\/p>\n

Tessa says the drinks aren\u2019t helping; she\u2019s still remembering what she wanted to forget!<\/p>\n

\"TessaCBS<\/p>\n

Daniel wishes they had their guitars with them\u2026 If they made music together, it might help her forget, even for a while.<\/p>\n

Tessa nods. She thinks they should call it a night; she doesn\u2019t want to wait for the food. She stands up, but stumbles drunkenly. Daniel holds her and sits her back down. Tessa sighs. \u201cWhy did Mariah have to do this to us?!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"DanielCBS<\/p>\n

A bit later, Daniel leads Tessa to the stairs leading to the suites.<\/p>\n

Tessa thanks him and stumbles. She looks into his eyes and says he\u2019s holding her like he would hold a close friend. She kisses him, and Daniel responds, kissing her back tenderly.<\/p>\n

\"TessaCBS<\/p>\n

\"TessaCBS<\/p>\n

Society<\/p>\n

Abby and Devon sit at the bar. Abby can\u2019t believe Phyllis crashed Christine\u2019s bachelorette party\u2026 And now Phyllis is getting close to Cane.<\/p>\n

\"AbbyCBS<\/p>\n

Devon thinks Cane has become the person that Phyllis has waited for her whole life\u2026 A ruthless and uncaring person who\u2019s willing to destroy people\u2019s lives and businesses for profit.<\/p>\n

Cane walks up to their table. \u201cThat\u2019s a harsh indictment from my former brother-in-law!\u201d<\/p>\n

Devon asks if he hurt his feelings\u2026 Nothing he said was a lie!<\/p>\n

\"CaneCBS<\/p>\n

Cane says he didn\u2019t mean to cause any harm.<\/p>\n

Abby reminds him that three people died at Cane\u2019s chateau\u2026 One of them was Chance, who is her child\u2019s father.<\/p>\n

Devon wonders if Cane has figured out who he wants to be\u2026 A ruthless billionaire, or a parent to his kids?<\/p>\n

\"DevonCBS<\/p>\n

Cane says he made a promise to Jill, and he\u2019ll make the same promise to them\u2026 There will be no attacks in Genoa City.<\/p>\n

Lily walks up and asks if he thinks they\u2019ll believe him if he keeps repeating himself. Does he think they\u2019re stupid?<\/p>\n

Cane hopes he can convince Lily he\u2019s sincere. He offers to buy her a drink and explain.<\/p>\n

\"LilyCBS<\/p>\n

Lily says she isn\u2019t in the mood to be lied to again\u2026 They\u2019ve talked before, and he doesn\u2019t give her any answers.<\/p>\n

Cane says he can\u2019t lose his kids and he knows he needs to make things right with her before he can talk to them.<\/p>\n

Lily says he can buy her one drink, and he can\u2019t expect anything from her. They head to a separate table.<\/p>\n

\"CaneCBS<\/p>\n

Cane tells Lily that he\u2019s ready to come clean\u2026 She\u2019s probably heard about his AI program that would destabilize a company so he could buy them out.<\/p>\n

Lily asks why he wanted to take out over the companies.<\/p>\n

Cane says he liked the power and wanted to prove that he was better than Jack, Victor, Jill, and even Katherine. He admits he was misguided and thought it would impress Lily and their children.<\/p>\n

\"LilyCBS<\/p>\n

Lily asks him to explain why he thought that taking over the companies in town would impress her.<\/p>\n

Cane says he was on top of the world as Dumas, and he wanted to share that with the people he cared for. He wanted to be seen as a legitimate businessman.<\/p>\n

Lily says that the money that Cane inherited came from a scam. What did he learn from this?<\/p>\n

\"CaneCBS<\/p>\n

Cane says he learned that he made the same mistakes that his father did, and he realizes that he kept Lily and his children in the dark. Colin had told him that all the money in the world won\u2019t solve his problems, it would make him feel empty. He\u2019s finished with using the AI program, though. He swears to do whatever it would take to convince Lily.<\/p>\n

Lily says that destroying the AI would convince her\u2026 Or he could give her the AI program, and she\u2019d have her tech team at Winters destroy it.<\/p>\n

Cane says Jill, Victor, and Jack asked him to give the AI to them, too\u2026 Everyone wants to get their hands on it! He asks her to make her case.<\/p>\n

\"LilyCBS<\/p>\n

Lily laughs. Victor and Jack would probably use the AI against each other. Jill would probably want to destroy it, but she\u2019s a wildcard. That\u2019s another reason to get rid of it.<\/p>\n

Cane says he has a new plan. He wants to use the AI for good. He wants the chance to prove it to her.<\/p>\n

Lily doesn\u2019t trust him, and doesn\u2019t trust the AI program, either. He won\u2019t be able to change her mind!<\/p>\n

\"CaneCBS<\/p>\n

Abby asks Devon if he\u2019s ready to go.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Devon says he is, but he can\u2019t figure out why Cane and Lily are still talking\u2026 He just saw them exchanging looks!<\/p>\n

Abby laughs. She can\u2019t kick Cane out because of a look. Being a secret billionaire must be hard!<\/p>\n

Devon sighs. He\u2019ll take Abby\u2019s advice that Lily must know what she\u2019s doing. He\u2019s glad he\u2019s married to such a wise woman! They kiss and leave the restaurant.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Lily asks Cane what\u2019s going to happen next\u2026 If he doesn\u2019t hand over the AI to her, this conversation is over.<\/p>\n

Cane asks if it will prove to her that he\u2019s changing if he hands it over.<\/p>\n

\"CaneCBS<\/p>\n

Lily nods. It\u2019ll be a good first step!<\/p>\n

Cane agrees. \u201cConsider it done.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"LilyCBS<\/p>\n

A Boston Clinic<\/p>\n

Mariah walks into the visiting room and picks up the Queen of Hearts card that Tessa had ripped up at their visit.<\/p>\n

\"MariahCBS<\/p>\n

She sits down and looks at a picture of her, Tessa, and Aria on her phone. She contemplates calling Tessa, but thinks better of it. She calls Sharon instead, who\u2019s at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Mariah tells her mom that she\u2019s not doing well. She might be here longer than she thought.<\/p>\n

Sharon tells her to take all the time she needs. She asks if she feels good about the clinic and her therapists.<\/p>\n

\"SharonCBS<\/p>\n

Mariah isn\u2019t sure. She thinks the therapists are waiting for her to discover the answer on her own. The process is slow and painful, and she\u2019s afraid; she has feelings she can\u2019t explain and thoughts she doesn\u2019t understand.<\/p>\n

Sharon says she\u2019s there to get help from experts who can walk her through it.<\/p>\n

Mariah sighs and a tear rolls down her cheek. She feels more alone and lost than she ever has before!<\/p>\n

\"MariahCBS<\/p>\n

Sharon wishes she could be there for her and fix things.<\/p>\n

Mariah wishes she could, too. She needs her mom to hold her and tell her that everything will be okay. She\u2019s lost and doesn\u2019t know if she sees a way out of this. She says that Tessa came out to see her. Tessa was kind and patient and said she was ready to help when she needed her.<\/p>\n

Sharon says she needs to be ready for help. Eventually, Mariah will be ready to be there for Aria and Tessa again. She\u2019s sorry Mariah is in so much pain and tells her that she can call her anytime. She\u2019s her daughter, and she loves her!<\/p>\n

\"SharonCBS<\/p>\n

Mariah asks if Sharon could come and visit her.<\/p>\n

Sharon stammers but doesn\u2019t tell Mariah she\u2019s in the hospital with Noah. She says she can come soon and will contact Mariah\u2019s doctors to see what they recommend.<\/p>\n

Mariah says she needs to do this on her own. She says she loves Sharon and disconnects the call. Sharon cries. \u201cI love you, too!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"MariahCBS<\/p>\n

Mariah sits down and looks at the ripped playing card before throwing it on the floor. \u201cDamn it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Ian Ward appears, sitting across from her at the table. \u201cIt looks like you\u2019re in one of your moods! Are you feeling lost and alone again, Mariah?<\/p>\n

\"IanCBS<\/p>\n

Crimson Lights<\/p>\n

Phyllis sits at a table on the coffeehouse\u2019s patio. She types away on a laptop and tells herself that she needs to focus on herself and protect herself at all costs.<\/p>\n

\"PhyllisCBS<\/p>\n

Esther offers to bring Phyllis another cappuccino and asks what she\u2019s doing on her laptop.<\/p>\n

Phyllis says she\u2019s securing her future.<\/p>\n

Esther thinks that\u2019s a good idea; Phyllis has been out of work for a while. What happened to her working with Billy or Cane?<\/p>\n

\"EstherCBS<\/p>\n

Phyllis says that working for herself is a better option.<\/p>\n

Esther nods. \u201cGood luck with that!\u201d She leaves the patio to get Phyllis her coffee.<\/p>\n

Phyllis talks to herself. \u201cBilly is a disaster and Cane is a flake.\u201d She knows she can only count on herself\u2026 And Cane\u2019s AI program is the key!<\/p>\n

\"PhyllisCBS<\/p>\n

Esther brings her coffee and says that she\u2019s leaving; she has a date!<\/p>\n

Phyllis wishes her a good date, and Esther leaves. Phyllis talks to herself saying that she has a date, too\u2026 With Cane\u2019s AI program! She\u2019s getting it from him, and she\u2019ll hold the cards and call the shots. Everyone in town will answer to her, and she\u2019ll get everything she deserves!<\/p>\n
