Prime Monday Night Hockey<\/a>, RDS<\/p>\nWith Samuel Montembeault struggling to find his typical form, the Canadiens will turn to Jakub Dobe\u0161 in net once again. Montembeault has a 2-2-0 record from his four start and a surprising .857 save percentage, while Dobe\u0161 is yet to lose a game in 2025-26 with his mark of .940. It will be Dobe\u0161\u2019s sixth start at the Bell Centre of what will be 18 total since joining the team late last December.<\/p>\n
Buffalo counters with Alex Lyon, as their starter is out for a different reason. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has been week-to-week with a lower-body injury since the pre-season. Lyon has been doing everything the Sabres could have asked from him as he\u2019s been thrust into the starter\u2019s role, playing all five games so far and responding by posting a .929 save percentage. Buffalo\u2019s slow start had nothing to do with the goaltending, but Montreal was able to score five on him as a member of the Detroit Red Wings last season, and four in a meeting the previous year.<\/p>\n
The Canadiens don\u2019t need to change a whole lot of anything after losing on Saturday night to the New York Rangers. It was a difficult stretch to begin the third period that spoiled what was otherwise a stifling effort versus one of the top possession teams. Staying focused for the full 60 minutes will be the best way to contain the Sabres and get back in the win column.<\/p>\n
