The polls in Calgary’s municipal election close at 8 p.m. on Monday and you can find results right here \u2014 as they roll in \u2014 but it’s not expected that we’ll have a complete picture of the outcome until Tuesday.<\/p>\n

In addition, you’ll also find an interactive map below, which shows who’s leading in the race for city councillor in each of the city’s 14 wards, along with links to ward-specific pages with full results. The ward-specific pages also include results in the races for school trustee.<\/p>\n
Results are expected to take longer to arrive in this election than in the past, after the provincial government banned the use of electronic vote tabulators<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n Many advance, other ballots to be counted Tuesday <\/p>\n At individual voting stations, ballots for mayor and council will be counted simultaneously after the polls close. After those are complete, trustee ballots will be counted next.<\/p>\n There is also a central counting centre, where advance ballots, mail-in ballots and other types of special ballots will be tallied. But many of these ballots won’t be counted until Tuesday. <\/p>\n The City of Calgary says only ballots for mayor are guaranteed to be counted on Monday at the counting centre.<\/p>\n Ballots for city councillor are set to be counted beginning on Tuesday morning. Ballots for trustee are set to be counted beginning on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
