Kristen Bell limited her Instagram comments after critics slammed her \u201ctone-deaf\u201d message<\/a> honoring her and Dax Shepard\u2019s 12th wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the \u201cNobody Wants This\u201d star shut out the critics in light of her controversial post over the weekend that read, \u201cHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: \u2018I would never kill you.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled the actor also telling her that \u201ca lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point,\u201d but reassured he \u201cwould never\u201d do the same despite being \u201cheavily incentivized to kill [her].\u201d<\/p>\n

Page Six noticed on Monday that the \u201cNobody Wants This\u201d star limited her Instagram comments after fans started accusing her of sharing a domestic violence-themed message. daxshepard\/Instagram<\/p>\n

Bell, 45, was immediately called out by critics, highlighting that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.<\/p>\n

\u201cThats a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say considering it\u2019s domestic violence awareness month and thousands of women have died a the hands of the man they trusted\u2026,\u201d\u00a0one person wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cjust an fyi, posting this caption during domestic violence awareness month is unbelievably tone deaf :\/ please reconsider,\u201d another chimed in.<\/p>\n

In the post shared over the weekend, Bell wrote, \u201cHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: \u2018I would never kill you.’\u201d kristenanniebell\/Instagram<\/p>\n

The \u201cVeronica Mars\u201d alum, meanwhile, nearly forgot it was her and Shepard\u2019s anniversary<\/a> on Friday until she was reminded by an \u201cEntertainment Tonight\u201d reporter at the \u201cNobody Wants This\u201d Season 2 premiere <\/a>the day prior.<\/p>\n

While stopping to talk with the outlet on the red carpet, she thanked the reporter for the reminder, saying, \u201cYou know I don\u2019t remember that. Oh, shoot. I\u2019m so glad that you told me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite not remembering the big day, Bell shared she and Shepard, 50, did have a date night planned, though she didn\u2019t think he remembered their anniversary either.<\/p>\n
