Forget the rallies \u2014 Donald Trump\u2019s latest tour is marching through America\u2019s streets, troops in tow, and according to the 47th president, the next stop is San Francisco.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, golf icon Phil Mickelson took the opportunity to show support for Trump\u2019s plan, when he quote-tweeted California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who wrote<\/a>, \u201cNobody wants you here.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis isn\u2019t true at all. We are begging for him to come save this former great city(and more),\u201d Mickelson wrote, via X\/Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re also begging him to save the entire state from our inevitable energy crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n This back and forth all stems from a clip of an interview with Fox\u2019s Maria Bartiromo on \u201cSunday Morning Futures,\u201d in which Trump heaped praise upon San Francisco and vowed to \u201cmake it great\u201d again.<\/p>\n \u201cSan Francisco was truly one of the great cities of the world,\u201d Trump said, via X\/Twitter<\/a>, \u201cand then, 15 years ago, it went wrong. It went woke. …<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to go to San Francisco, and we\u2019re going to make it great … it won\u2019t be great, if it keeps going like this.\u201d<\/p>\n The Trump administration has faced criticism for its use of military forces in American cities. To date, he\u2019s deployed troops in the nation\u2019s capitol, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Memphis, Chicago and Portland.<\/p>\n He has repeatedly characterized certain cities \u2014 especially those run by Democrats \u2014 as being in a state of crisis, with crime spiralling out of control and local authorities either unable or unwilling to act. As a result, he\u2019s suggested helping<\/a> these cities by using them \u201cas training grounds for our military, National Guard, but military.\u201d<\/p>\n According to The Global Statistics<\/a>, crime in San Francisco is in a steady decline, which is probably why Gov.
