It\u2019s simply a matter of recollection; the human brain likes patterns and processes information consecutively, and much of the discipline of sports psychology is based on recency bias. Athletes are aiming to preserve recent form\u00a0\u2013 or end it\u00a0\u2013 depending on the run of results.<\/p>\n<p>Formula 1 has its own phrase for that: you\u2019re only as good as your last race.
