{"id":229943,"date":"2025-10-21T18:34:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T18:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/229943\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T18:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T18:34:07","slug":"ontario-fall-economic-statement-coming-nov-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/229943\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario fall economic statement coming Nov. 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Ontario\u2019s Progressive Conservative government says it will provide an update on the province\u2019s finances early next month. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy said Tuesday that the fall economic statement will come down on Nov. 6. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWith U.S. tariffs taking direct aim at Ontario businesses, the world\u2019s economic landscape has changed,\u201d Bethlenfalvy said during Question Period at Queen\u2019s Park. \u201cThe status quo is no longer an option, and Ontario is ready to fight back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He said the Ford government has been working on \u201cunleashing the full potential\u201d of Ontario\u2019s economy and the fall economic statement, sometimes described as a mini budget, will lay out its progress and update the government\u2019s plan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis will be a plan to protect all of Ontario, an update on the progress that we\u2019ve made to make Ontario the most competitive economy in the G7 and the best place in the world to invest, work and create jobs,\u201d Bethlenfalvy said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">More details to come\u2026 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ontario\u2019s Progressive Conservative government says it will provide an update on the province\u2019s finances early next month.
