Dollarama is recalling one of its popular dessert items due to potential contamination. <\/p>\n
The recall, published by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency<\/a> (CFIA) last week, was for Biskwi brand Waffles with Chocolaty Filling. According to the alert, 180-gram packages of the dessert with best before dates between April 21 and May 12, 2026 were recalled \u201cdue to mold.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDo not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product,\u201d the agency says on its website, adding that the snack is sold nationally. <\/p>\n The recall falls under Class 3, according to the CFIA, which denotes products that pose a low risk of undesirable health outcomes when consumed. <\/p>\n This is the second recall Dollarama has issued this year for a food product. The first came in June, when Snowtime brand Berry Ice Smoothie Pops<\/a> were recalled due to undeclared milk.<\/p>\n That recall fell under the CFIA\u2019s Class 2, indicating \u201ca moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life-threatening health problems.\u201d<\/p>\n Other recent food recalls in Canada include certain brands of pistachios and other products that contain the nuts, some of which have been found to contain salmonella<\/a>.
