Next month\u2019s Global Entrepreneurship Week will include a food-tasting and culinary showcase featuring American celebrity chef Pinky Cole, founder of restaurant chain Slutty Vegan.<\/p>\n
Ms Cole is known for her vegan junk food and other fun non-meat options.<\/p>\n
During the event organised by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, five local chefs will present their vegan creations to Ms Cole and a panel of judges for a chance to win top honours, with attendees sampling dishes and voting for the People\u2019s Choice Award.<\/p>\n
Ms Cole will also give a seminar, sharing the story of her success \u2014 from mistakes and pivots to the principles that built her business empire \u2014 in a session designed to help Bermudian entrepreneurs create lasting impact.<\/p>\n
Another highlight of the week will be the third annual Wave of Opportunity Pitch Competition, where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas for a chance to win one of five prizes of up to $25,000 in grants and support.<\/p>\n
The signature offering during the week will be Together We Build: Experiential Full Day Conference, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators and partners for a full day of learning, collaboration and inspiration through keynotes, breakout sessions and a live pitch competition.<\/p>\n
GEW kicks off on November 21.<\/p>\n
