Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Mike O\u2019Shea told the media on Tuesday that he doesn\u2019t believe receiver Nic Demski will play this week, though he does think Demski will be ready to return for the playoffs.<\/p>\n

The five-foot-eleven, 212-pound target suffered a hamstring injury during Winnipeg\u2019s recent loss to the Edmonton Elks and did not play against the Saskatchewan Roughriders this past week. The 31-year-old has made 67 catches for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns this season to lead the Blue Bombers in every receiving category.<\/p>\n

The native of Winnipeg, Man. was originally a first-round pick in the 2015 CFL Draft out of the University of Manitoba. He has caught 494 passes for 6,285 yards and 42 touchdowns over 152 regular-season CFL games as a member of the Roughriders and Blue Bombers, reaching the 1,000-yard milestone in three straight seasons.<\/p>\n

As for who will be under centre for this week\u2019s regular-season finale against the Montreal Alouettes, O\u2019Shea was less clear.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not set on what we\u2019re doing just yet. We\u2019ll figure it out,\u201d he said<\/a>. \u201cWe haven\u2019t decided on our roster yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zach Collaros has gone 6-7 as a starter this season, completing 72.6 percent of his passes for 3,048 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He has also rushed 18 times for 130 yards and one score.<\/p>\n

Chris Streveler has started the team\u2019s other four games, posting a 3-1 record. The 30-year-old native of Crystal Lake, Ill. has completed 63.9 percent of his passes for 1,090 yards, six touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He has also rushed 67 times for 301 yards and nine touchdowns on the year, which is due to part to his role as Winnipeg\u2019s short-yardage specialist.<\/p>\n

Defensive back Michael Griffin II, who has missed four straight games due to a knee injury, was a full participant in practice on Tuesday. Demski (hamstring), fellow receiver Keric Wheatfall (not injury-related), and defensive lineman Jamal Woods (shoudler) were all non-participants.<\/p>\n

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-8) will host the Montreal Alouettes (10-7) on Saturday, October 25 with kickoff slated for 3:00 p.m. EDT. The Alouettes are coming off back-to-back wins over the Ottawa Redblacks<\/a>, while the Blue Bombers got an ugly win over the depleted Saskatchewan Roughriders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Blue Bombers can finish no higher than third place in the West Division standings and no lower than fourth, which would see them cross over to the East Division as the third seed.<\/p>\n

The weather forecast in Winnipeg calls for a high of 16 degrees with sunny conditions. The game will be broadcast on TSN, RDS, and CTV in Canada and CFL+ internationally.
