Trevor Harris is ready to go this week for the Saskatchewan Roughriders\u2014and if he gets his way, he will play the full four quarters.<\/p>\n
\u201cAny time you get the opportunity to play, it\u2019s always important,\u201d the 39-year-old quarterback said. \u201cThe more reps, the better. I\u2019ve told you guys in preseason and I\u2019ve told (head coach Corey) Mace,<\/a> let me play three-and-a-half quarters and if it\u2019s close, leave me in and it\u2019s how I feel now.\u201d<\/p>\n Harris never saw a snap<\/a> in last week\u2019s 17-16 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers<\/a> as the team rested several starters.<\/a> The Riders have already clinched first place in the CFL West Division and will host the West Final<\/a> on Nov. 8 at Mosaic Stadium.<\/p>\n But before that can happen\u2014the team has a bye week prior to the playoff game\u2014the Riders will close out the CFL regular season on Saturday against the B.C. Lions. Kickoff for the game is set for 5 p.m.<\/p>\n Harris admitted he wanted to play in last week\u2019s game<\/a> but knows the coaching staff had a plan.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have a role every week, but whatever the role the team asks you to play, make sure you do it to the best of your ability,\u201d Harris said. \u201cThat was where my mindset went as soon as (Mace) told me I wasn\u2019t playing. I was disappointed, but I get it, I understand.\u201d<\/p>\n So does Mace have a plan for the starters this week as well?<\/p>\n \u201cWe have a plan in place and similar to last week, we identified what we wanted to do and we stuck to it. We have a different one set in place this week and we will stick to that,\u201d Mace said.<\/p>\n \u201cYou want to be able to keep the guys around the game and you can\u2019t mimic live reps. I think it\u2019s crucial for our guys to be able to go out there and do that.
