From infidelity<\/a> to paternity scandals<\/a>, it\u2019s no secret that Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian and her ex Tristan Thompson have gone through public struggles during their former on-and-off relationship.<\/p>\n

But despite all of the drama, the reality star has maintained that co\u2013parenting with Thompson, the father of her children True and Tatum, has been relatively \u201cseamless.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kardashian has been open about co-parenting with Thompson in the past. But in a new episode of her podcast \u201cKhlo\u00e9 in Wonder Land<\/a>,\u201d the star got candid about how being a \u201cco-parenter\u201d can be hard emotionally at times and admitted that she can get \u201cdefensive\u201d as a mom when she and Thompson have opposing opinions. <\/p>\n

Kardashian then recalled an instance where the NBA star once questioned her over the length of 7-year-old True\u2019s shorts. <\/p>\n

\u201cTristan\u2019s not wrong, but he\u2019s like, \u2018Don\u2019t you think those shorts are too short on her?\u2019\u201d she explained during Wednesday\u2019s episode. \u201cYou wanna almost be like, \u2018Yeah, she\u2019s my kid!\u2019 But it\u2019s our kid. You just want to have that ownership.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kardashian continued, \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2019Yes, they\u2019re short, but we\u2019re just hanging out at the house pool \u2014 because I will send pictures to him or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n

In moments like those, Kardashian said she gives herself and the Canadian basketball player grace. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou still wanna let your co-parenter be the parent as much as they want to. And you also have to give them grace [and] yourself grace,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

Kardashian added: \u201cSometimes, you have to take a breath and be like, \u2018It\u2019s OK. He\u2019s doing what\u2019s right. Yes, the shorts are short, but we\u2019re at home lounging, so let me explain the context of these photos.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Wrapping up her comments, Kardashian noted that her exchanges with Thompson can cause an \u201cemotional battle\u201d within herself. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is an emotional battle I have [with] myself. I can\u2019t be like, \u2018This is my kid.\u2019 I have to allow for Tristan to be the dad, too,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Despite their occasional difference in parenting styles, the mom of two said elsewhere in the episode that there\u2019s ultimately \u201cno drama\u201d when it comes to co-parenting with Thompson.<\/p>\n

\u201cHim and I are seamless co-parents. I\u2019m really grateful for that,\u201d she said. \u201cTristan trusts me as a mom, so I don\u2019t get a lot of pushback … he just knows that I\u2019m not going to do anything to harm the kids.\u201d <\/p>\n
