{"id":230965,"date":"2025-10-22T03:56:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T03:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/230965\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T03:56:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T03:56:10","slug":"russ-rips-classless-sean-payton-for-apparent-postgame-dig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/230965\/","title":{"rendered":"Russ rips &#8216;classless&#8217; Sean Payton for apparent postgame dig"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson clapped back at Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton on social media.<\/p>\n<p>After completing an epic comeback over the Giants on Sunday, Payton complimented New York rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart while taking a shot at Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They found a little spark with that quarterback,&#8221; Payton said postgame about the Giants going from Dart to Wilson with the season underway, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SNYGiants\/status\/1980064740509360231\" rel=\"nofollow\">SNY<\/a>. &#8220;I was talking to (Giants owner) John Mara not too long ago, and I said, &#8216;We were hoping that that change would&#8217;ve happened long after our game.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wilson responded to Payton on Tuesday, saying he isn&#8217;t surprised by the veteran coach&#8217;s &#8220;classless&#8221; comments. Wilson played for Payton&#8217;s Broncos in 2023, but the team released the signal-caller after going 8-9 that year.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants have shown improvements lately, winning two out of four games with Dart at QB.
