Dax Shepard<\/a> gave Armcherries a long-awaited special guest this week, as the actor welcomed his ex-girlfriend, Briegh Morrison, onto his newest podcast series, called \u201cMom\u2019s Car.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Shepard and Morrison were in a nine-year open relationship before ultimately splitting, with Shepard going on to later marry his now-wife, Kristen Bell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He spoke about how nervous he was to move on after his near-decade with Morrison. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe breakup was manageable, but I will say \u2015 for a while, I did think, \u2018Well, I\u2019ll never be in love with someone again \u2015 in that way. I had a deep fear.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever really feel the way I felt about Briegh with anybody.\u2019 I was quite scared of that. \u201d <\/p>\n

Shepard added that he didn\u2019t have any regrets about the two\u2019s relationship, though he was \u201cvery disoriented for a while\u201d after their split, which took him about a year to come to terms with. <\/p>\n

Morrison spoke about her experience with falling for someone else while she was dating Shepard, and how it was ultimately right to end the two\u2019s relationship. Despite it being the best decision, she did struggle with one aspect of the breakup in particular. <\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the hardest things about when we broke up was that I really had my head around we were gonna have kids,\u201d she said, as Shepard said \u201cyes\u201d in agreement. She added that the two had a house at the time and having children \u201cwas gonna be this thing that I want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was getting on in years,\u201d Morrison shared, as the two had a pact to have kids when she turned 30. She would go on to meet her now-husband, Marvel<\/a> Studios executive Brad Winderbaum on her 30th birthday. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Shepard said he felt similarly worried about kids when he met Bell.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a bit panicked, cause I was 32 when I met Kristen. I was thinking like I\u2019m supposed to be getting [Briegh] pregnant right now,\u201d he shared. \u201cMy timeline was like at 32, I was going to start to become a dad.\u201d <\/p>\n

Shepard and Bell would go on to welcome two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10. <\/p>\n

Shepard and Bell recently marked 12 years of marriage together.<\/p>\n

Bell celebrated her anniversary with the \u201cParenthood\u201d actor in an Instagram post on Saturday that sparked backlash<\/a> for both what she said, and the timing of the post.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: \u2018I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I\u2019m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would,\u2019\u201d Bell said in the caption of her post. <\/p>\n
