He will be out for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Semyon Varlamov is skating and still progressing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 New York Islanders (@NYIslanders) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NYIslanders\/status\/1981026547474567245?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">October 22, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Engvall had eight goals and 15 points in in 62 games with the Islanders last season and added one goal in six AHL games with the Bridgeport Islanders after going unclaimed on waivers early in the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 29-year-old winger is signed through the 2029-30 season at a cap hit of $3 million on the seven-year, $21 million deal inked with New York in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Ljungby, Sweden native has 65 goals and 135 points in 380 career games with the Islanders and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" target=\"_blank\">Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>.
