Hospices in Tiverton, Walkerton, and Clinton are getting a major boost to help families facing end-of-life journeys, thanks to a $100,000 donation from Bruce Power and its supplier partners.<\/p>\n
The contribution was made in recognition of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, observed annually to raise awareness and advocate for better access to care for people living with life-limiting illnesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe availability of quality health care and the well-being of community are key focus areas for Bruce Power\u2019s community investment strategy,\u201d said Maggie Tieman, Bruce Power\u2019s Director of Community and External Affairs. \u201cEnsuring quality and dignified care is available through the full cycle of life is paramount, and Bruce Power and our supplier partners thank our hospices for all they do for local families.\u201d<\/p>\n
The funds will support programs that provide free, compassionate, and dignified care for patients and families at local hospices.<\/p>\n
