He is also a nine-time league all-star, dating to the 2013-14 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n The North Carolina native was asked how he manages to maintain his \u2018top-tier\u2019 standard when most guys have either retired or padded a few inches to the waistline. \u00a0<\/p>\n In loving jest, one local media representative called him older than \u201cthe average bear\u201d\u00a0as a comparison to the age of players in the league. \u00a0<\/p>\n Bryant chuckled before mentioning Lebron James and Tom Brady as athletes who maintained a high level of play in the advancing years. Though he didn\u2019t compare himself to either Brady or James, he used their names to illustrate his point.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how to answer that,\u201d he said. \u201cFor me, it is a mindset, knowing what I am capable of and what I still can do.
