Huawei Technologies<\/a> on Wednesday released to consumers in China the latest version of its proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS 6<\/a>, that enables direct file transfers between Huawei and Apple<\/a> devices for the first time.The updated mobile operating system\u2019s new function, which is similar to Apple\u2019s AirDrop<\/a> feature, enables short-range wireless transfer of photos and documents without the need for data plans.<\/p>\n

According to Huawei, the function \u201cbreaks down device boundaries and allows for more flexible data flow\u201d.<\/p>\n
