Derek Chisora has turned down a fight with Jarrell Miller, according to his promoter Frank Warren.<\/p>\n

Chisora had been in negotiations to face Miller on December 13<\/a> in Manchester for his 50th and final professional outing.<\/p>\n

The heavyweight titans saw a clash fall by the wayside in November due to a contractual dispute<\/a> between Miller and his former promoter, Dmitry Salita.<\/p>\n

But this time, Warren claims Chisora was the one who pulled the plug.<\/p>\n

“He was originally going to fight Miller,” Warren told BoxNation.<\/p>\n

“But Derek didn’t want to fight him. That’s all he said; that is the message I got back.”<\/p>\n

Miller, who rose to notoriety in 2019 for failing three drug tests ahead of a doomed bout with Anthony Joshua<\/a>, has struggled to secure high-profile fights as of late.<\/p>\n

In June, he was forced to pull out of a headliner at Ipswich’s Portman Road against Fabio Wardley<\/a> due to Injury.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, an all-American showdown with Michael Hunter couldn’t get past the negotiation table for a September date.<\/p>\n

Chisora’s rejection is the latest setback for the Brooklyn brawler, who hasn’t set foot in the ring since a disputed draw with Andy Ruiz Jr<\/a> in August 2024.<\/p>\n

While Miller remains on the lookout for an opponent, David Haye<\/a> recently told The Sun that his former opponent, Chisora, was set to face Dillian Whyte in a trilogy bout next.<\/a><\/p>\n

“[Chisora] and\u00a0Dillian Whyte<\/a>\u00a0are doing a third fight,” Haye said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to set the record straight for the trilogy fight.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s gonna be in great shape and with\u00a0Dillian Whyte, it\u2019s really\u00a0nice\u00a0to see two fighters from the same era, loads of history, and simply doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Haye’s comments were put to Warren, the Hall of Fame promoter replied: “I haven’t spoken to David Haye about it all.<\/p>\n

“We will announce [what is next for Chisora] on Saturday.”<\/p>\n

Their first meeting, in December 2016, went the distance, with Whyte claiming a controversial split decision.<\/p>\n
