Former Toronto Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan has reportedly found his next job after not being retained in Toronto.<\/p>\n
After they once again failed to make a deep run in the postseason, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a major change in leadership<\/a> and announced that team president Brendan Shanahan, who had worked for the team for over a decade, wouldn’t be brought back.<\/p>\n Even though Shanahan was rumored to be a candidate to take over an executive position with the New York Islanders, they went in a different direction.<\/p>\n Now, it looks like Shanahan has found his next gig after not being retained by the Maple Leafs.<\/p>\n Per a report from NHL analyst Darren Dreger, Shanahan is joining the NHL’s Hockey Operations Department.<\/p>\n I will have more on this in Insider Trading @SportsCentre. Brendan Shanahan is joining the NHL’s Hockey Operations department.
