The Enemy<\/a> have announced their first new album in 10 years \u2013 find all the details below.<\/p>\n

The Coventry band have confirmed they will release \u2018Social Disguises\u2019 their first LP since 2015\u2019s \u2018It\u2019s Automatic\u2019, on February 20, 2026. You can pre-order it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They will also share the first taster from the record \u2018Not Going Your Way\u2019 next Friday (October 31), which you can pre-save here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Frontman Tom Clarke said of the new record, the band\u2019s fifth: \u201cWe tried to make this album in the same frame of mind that we made our first, as though we were making the follow-up to it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took a year to write, around 90 demos, and another year in the studio. I\u2019m very proud of it. We all are. Whatever success it does or doesn\u2019t enjoy I feel like we all succeeded in making a great record we can be proud of forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME last year about their plans for a comeback album<\/a>, Clarke previously said: \u201cWe started writing this time last year, tentatively putting a few ideas down, feeling how it might sound. There was a pause, then once we got back to it, the floodgates opened.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll these Enemy-sounding songs came out and it\u2019s felt like the beginning again, before the demands of: \u2018We need another \u2018Had Enough\u2019. When you pick them apart, a lot of the songs on \u2018We\u2019ll Live And Die In These Towns\u2019 are quite weird. We\u2019ve found that weirdness again. We\u2019ve demoed the songs at our home studios, and in a fortnight we\u2019re going into the studio with our producer, Matt Terry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s 2007 debut album \u2018We\u2019ll Live And Die In These Towns<\/a>\u2019 was a platinum-selling Number One and spawned huge hits including \u2018Had Enough\u2019, \u2018Away From Here\u2019, \u2018You\u2019re Not Alone\u2019 and the LP\u2019s title track.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Enemy released a further three albums before they split in 2016<\/a>.\u00a0They eventually reformed in 2022<\/a> and embarked on a comeback tour before they joined forces with fellow \u201900s indie bands The Subways<\/a> and The Holloways<\/a> for the \u2018Indie Til I Die\u2019 package tour<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

They are currently in the middle of a UK tour, which continues at the Leadmill in Sheffield on October 30 before they wrap up with two shows at HMV Empire in their hometown next month.<\/p>\n
