Former pound-for-pound superstar Floyd Mayweather<\/a> has had his say on who he believes is the best active fighter in the sport out of Oleksandr Usyk<\/a>, Terence Crawford<\/a> and Naoya Inoue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mayweather proved himself to be arguably the greatest fighter of his entire generation during his professional career<\/a>, winning numerous major world titles across five weight classes along the way.<\/p>\n

The Michigan-native drew the curtain on his career back in 2017 with an unblemished record of 50-0 to his name, having defeated the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao to name just a few.<\/p>\n

Eight years after Mayweather\u2019s retirement, several fighters in particular have emerged as successors to the five-division world champion, with Usyk, Inoue, and Crawford standing out from the rest.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Brian Mazique,<\/a> Mayweather didn\u2019t hesitate to give his backing to countryman Crawford ahead of Inoue and Usyk, as he claims the three-weight undisputed champion is the \u2018best fighter in boxing\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Terence Crawford, right now in the sport of boxing, is the pound-for-pound best fighter. It\u2019s good to see him in the position that he\u2019s in \u2026 Terence Crawford, continue to be great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crawford cemented himself as arguably the best fighter of his era a few weeks ago when he defeated Mexican great Canelo to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship.<\/a><\/p>\n
