Cam Skattebo earned himself his first NFL fine in a silly way.<\/p>\n
The league fined the New York Giants<\/a>‘ rookie running back $15,000 on Friday for his actions during Week 7.<\/p>\n That might not seem like a ton of cash, but for a rookie, it’s very real money.\u00a0<\/p>\n So it’s at least worth understanding why Skattebo is getting cost that amount.<\/p>\n MORE:\u00a0How Cameron Dicker went from 3 cuts to most accurate kicker in NFL history<\/a><\/p>\n Why did the NFL fine Cam Skattebo?<\/p>\n Skattebo got himself too involved during Jaxson Dart’s concussion protocol.<\/p>\n The Giants’ rookie quarterback hit his head on the ground hard, and he left the game to be examined.<\/p>\n Russell Wilson came into the Week 7 game to play quarterback, and Dart went for evaluation on the sideline.<\/p>\n Dart eventually was taken to the blue medical tent. When the Giants’ drive was over, Skattebo hustled over and popped his head in to see how Dart was doing.<\/p>\n Except in the middle of concussion protocol, Skattebo isn’t supposed to do that.
